Branch Manager – Asset Finance and Logbook Loans

Locations: Meru and Nakuru

Marble Capital is expanding its branch network and looking for experienced leaders to drive growth, deliver strong portfolio quality, and build trusted relationships within the communities we serve. The ideal candidate understands asset finance and logbook lending, has a strong commercial mindset, and knows how to motivate a team to deliver consistent results.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth

  • Develop and execute branch sales plans that support monthly and annual targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities within the region and build a strong pipeline of quality clients.
  • Lead community and partner engagements that strengthen visibility and trust.

Credit and Portfolio Management

  • Oversee loan assessments, approvals, and recoveries to maintain a healthy and compliant portfolio.
  • Monitor branch credit quality and take corrective action where needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting to head office.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and mentor branch staff.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide regular coaching.
  • Build a culture that values accountability, customer care, and ethical practices.

Operations and Compliance

  • Ensure smooth day to day branch operations and adherence to internal policies.
  • Safeguard company assets, documentation, and customer information.
  • Implement operational controls that align with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • A Bachelors degree in Sales and Marketing or any related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing within microfinance or related financial services.
  • Strong background in asset finance and logbook loans.
  • Proven ability to drive branch performance and meet portfolio quality targets.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Good understanding of credit processes, loan portfolio management, and market dynamics in the region.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with clients, partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office will be an added advantage.
